Stronger, Cooler, Faster Optical Scanning

Jacob Abrams is the Manager of Product and Application Support at Edmund Optics’ Woodcrest, NJ, USA office. He joined Edmund Optics in 2021 after previously working as an Applications Engineer helping customers with troubleshooting and selecting product. He worked as a Product Release Engineer to add new products to Edmund’s catalog and website by creating technical content, and now manages the Product and Application Support team in the US. He received a B.S. in Physics with a focus in Optical Science and Engineering from North Dakota State University.

Ryan Smith is Senior Mechanical Engineer at Pangolin Laser Systems for both their Pangolin and ScannerMAX divisions. Ryan studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Central Florida and has extensive experience working with popular design software programs such as SOLIDWORKS. Ryan assists with various ScannerMAX product developments, including work done on the Saturn galvanometer systems. Ryan’s expertise and passion for engineering is reflected in his product designs.
