Plano-Concave Lenses are ideal for beam expansion, light projection, or for expanding an optical system’s focal length. Plano-Concave Lenses, which have one concave surface, are Optical Lenses with negative focal lengths. PCV Lenses should be oriented with the plano, or flat, surface towards the desired focal plane. PCV Lenses are ideal for use in a range of applications or industries.

Edmund Optics’ Plano Concave Lenses are available with a range of anti-reflection coatings. Anti-reflection coatings optimize throughput for the Ultraviolet (UV), Visible, or Infrared (IR) spectrum. Edmund Optics’ anti-reflection coatings include UV-AR, MgF2, VIS 0°, VIS-NIR, NIR I, or NIR II. Anti-reflection coated Plano-Concave Lenses are designed for a 0° angle of incidence. UV Fused Silica substrate options are available, offering additional performance in the Ultraviolet (UV) spectrum. The UV Fused Silica substrate is ideal for Ultraviolet (UV) imaging or laser applications.
