液晶溫度計為自黏式溫度指示器，可立即反應持續讀出溫度。這類溫度計分為 7 項元素，每項元素都相當於指定溫度範圍內的攝氏5 度溫度增量幅度。每項元素會依序由橘色變為黃色（低於指定溫度）、綠色（位於指定溫度）及藍色（高於指定溫度）。液晶溫度計於 0 至 120°C 之間提供攝氏30 度的溫度範圍，適用於乾燥、固化、製程控制或一般溫度監控應用。這類溫度計提供可逆的溫度變化，如果溫度降低，就會以相反順序變換顏色（藍色、綠色、黃色、橘色）。

Liquid Crystal Thermometers are calibrated to turn green when the listed temperature is achieved. If green is not visible, the temperature will be midway between the elements that are blue and orange. Elements turn blue when they surpass their listed temperature and orange when they are just below their listed temperature.
