CaliBall™ 使用隨機球測試 (RBT) 校正干涉儀穿透球面。隨機球測試曾有不錯的效果，但製造球的材料對量測準確度造成限制。CaliBall™ 採用氮化矽製造而成，克服了準確度的兩難情況。25mm 的球為第 5 級 (四捨五入後超過 125nm)，表面面型精度 ~1.3nm rms，不透明及 11% 反射率。Caliball™ 基本上無法破壞，是實用的解決方案，可於校正環境重複使用好幾年，不會劣化。

CaliBall™隨附三個球動態調整座，置於切除單側的堅固鋼鐵底座之中，以便校正 f/0.7 的穿透球面。帶有 4" 接環安裝座的 CaliBall™ 非常適合水平干涉儀設置，不需要額外的 x-y-z 安裝配置。每個CaliBall™ 出貨時隨附證書，顯示其真圓度與表面光度，並提供完整的使用說明，以及可於無塵室使用的儲存箱。
